Story of Little Red Riding Hood

Author(s): Christopher Bing

FAIRYTALES

His keen eye for detail and the exquisitely fine stroke of his pen bring to life the palpable threat of the wolf, the darkness of the forest, the delicate beauty of a handful of wildflowers, and the feisty girl making her way to grandmother's house. This volume contains both the Brothers Grimm story with its happy rescue of Grandmother and Little Red Cap, and the earlier, darker version of the tale as retold by Charles Perrault. SALES HANDLE: Caldecott-Honor-winning illustrator Christopher Bing's stunning and detailed rendering of Little Red Riding Hood is well positioned to be the definitive high-end edition of this tale on the market. HOW WILL THIS TITLE BE DISTINCTIVE: Christopher Bing's sumptuous artwork breathes new life into a timeless tale--an irrisistible addition to any family's home library and ideal as a gift for any occasion. As a special bonus, the earlier Perrault version of the tale (one much more moralistic in tone) will be tipped into the book to appear as though these were pages torn from an old collection of tales. RELEVANT SALES COMPARISONS OR SALES INFO: Bing's previous books have sold a combined net total of 190,000 copies! (see sales figures in 'Comparable Titles')
