Robert Mash read Zoology at Balliol College, Oxford, and researched Animal Behaviour there with Nobel Laureate Niko Tinbergen. His bestselling book, How To Keep Dinosaurs, was published in 1983 by Andre Deutsch, with a second edition published by Weidenfeld and Nicolson in 2003. He has appeared on several television programmes, and recently acted as a consultant for a BBC Horizon programme on dinosaurs, My Pet Dinosaur. He is married, with one son, and lives in Dorset, England.
